Bournemouth manager, Andoni Iraola, has confirmed that Emiliano Marcondes will be out injured for most of the season.
Marcondes spent the second half of last season on loan at Nordsjaelland and has returned to the Cherries.
Since coming back he has had surgery on a long-lasting foot injury.
This results in a long injury lay off as he recovers from his surgery and is likely to miss a large portion of the season.
The Dane signed for Bournemouth on a free transfer in 2021 and was part of the side that achieved promotion to the Premier League.
After only making one appearance since promotion, he was allowed out on loan.
Following his surgery he has been in attendance to watch his sides games this season.

What has Andoni Iraola said about Emiliano Marcondes?
When asked about an update on the Danish midfielder, he said: “He is recovering with us.
“But it is true that he had not so long ago the surgery, so he will be out for a lot of months this season.”
With all the signings that the Cherries have made, losing Marcondes will not be the end of the world but, he would add useful depth.
Other loanee’s Ben Pearson, Jamal Lowe and Siriki Dembele were left out of plans and made to train with the development squad.
This was not the case for Marcondes.
On this point his manager said: ” He will be with us, but sometimes when you are injured, you are apart from the team a lot of days. But he is with us, yes.”
Hopefully he recovers well and he can have an impact come the end of the season.
