Bournemouth recently confirmed the signing of Tyler Adams.

Bournemouth recently signed Tyler Adams from Leeds United in a £20 million deal, as reported by The Guardian

Adams has become Bournemouth’s eighth arrival of the summer, following Ionut Radu, Max Aarons, Justin Kluivert, Romain Faivre, Miklos Kerkez, Hamed Traore, and Alex Scott to the Vitality Stadium.

Andoni Iraola has added plenty of quality to the Bournemouth squad. Adams will be expected to play a key role for the Cherries this season, and fans of the south coast club will be looking forward to seeing the USA international team captain in action in the middle of the park.

What they can expect on the pitch from Adams

Adams has previously been described as a midfield “general”. The 24-year-old will bring control and tenacity to Iraola’s midfield contingent. He will protect the Bournemouth defence whilst his teammates push forward and attack in the manner that Iraola is trying to encourage.

Adams is also excellent on the ball, and can launch attacks himself with his excellent range of passing.

His successes so far

Adams has already enjoyed some incredible moments in his career. He has amassed 36 caps for his country, and was named the U.S. Soccer Player of the Year in 2022, and triumphed in the CONCACAF Nations League with the USA in 2020.

At club level, he has won silverware with MLS side New York Red Bulls, and German outfit RB Leipzig. He even managed to make Champions League history with RB Leipzig, as he scored the goal that sent the club to their first ever Champions League semi-final in 2021.

Adams’ off-field passions

Away from football, Adams is currently studying towards a diploma in psychology. He also enjoys wildlife photography and is a talented basketball player, having played at high school level in America, before opting to seriously pursue football.
