West Ham United have tabled a £40 million offer, to Bournemouth, for Dominic Solanke. Their advances have been rejected by the Cherries.

As per The Guardian, the Hammers are in desperate need of a striker following the sale of Gianluca Scamacca to Atalanta.

It has been reported that the Andoni Iraola and co, didn’t even consider the bid with their evaluation sitting much higher.

There can’t be much of a statement from Bournemouth so show their faith in their striker.

Should Bournemouth sell Dominic Solanke?

It is very cliché, but it is always hard to find a goal scorer. In Solanke, the Cherries have that.

Last season he contributed to 14 goals in 35 games, helping the Cherries achieve a positive league finish.

He signed for the club in 2019, joining from Liverpool for a fee in the region of £20 million.

There is no guarantee that if Solanke is sold, a suitable replacement can be found, especially before the deadline.

On the other side of that coin, if West Ham use the money from selling Declan Rice and potentially Lucas Paqueta, they could table an bid that can not be rejected.

If this was the case, Iraola would have to consider his options moving forward.

There doesn’t seem to be a world where Solanke leaves Bournemouth this window, which can only good thing from a Cherries point of view.
