It had been reported that Tyler Adams had his release clause triggered by Bournemouth and Chelsea without a move materialising. Now it appears the clause has expired.
With the clause in place, plenty of clubs have shown interest in the midfielder, but it appears that this part of his contract has expired.
In Daniel Farke’s pre match press conference, he hinted at this fact.
What is Tyler Adams’ situation?
Farke alluded to ‘legal’ issues which surround the release clause element of players’ contracts within the Leeds squad.
Phil Hay has reported via Twitter that Bournemouth’s interest in the player hasn’t developed any further.
It appeared that Farke gave a strong hint that release clauses have now expired.

Whether this is the case or not, Adams was at Leeds United’s Thorp Arch today.
This tilts the narrative toward the American staying at the club.
With the Cherries unable to now pay a release clause, they will have to pay a fee most likely in the range of 20 to £30 million.
He is a top player and had a very positive season despite Leeds being relegated from the Premier League.
He would be an ideal replacement for Jefferson Lerma following his departure to Crystal Palace on a free transfer.
Joe Rothwell has had a good start to the season in that position so Adams may not be necessary for such a high fee.
There has been an influx of American influence at Bournemouth which could potentially have an effect on a deal happening before the transfer deadline.
