Leeds United manager, Daniel Farke, has been talking up Jaidon Anthony following his loan move from Bournemouth on deadline day.

The winger was involved in a make shift swap deal as the Cherries signed Luis Sinisterra on loan for the season.

The Colombian had been linked with moves away from Elland Road all summer but the eventual move did come as a surprise.

It may have come as a shock to see Anthony moving in the opposite direction. It appears this was the only way to push a deal through.

His experience in the Championship, winning promotion with Bournemouth, made him a target for Leeds.

What has Daniel Farke said about Jaidon Anthony?

The German manager appeared in good spirits, in spite of the loss of a top player.

They have bought in a top replacement however: “I think with Jaidon Anthony I think we found the best possible option because he’s a proven Championship player.”

With playtime shrinking at the Vitality for the Englishman, a move benefits all parties.

Farke believes his new man is hungry to play: “He has started the first games on Premier League level and has played so many games in Premier League level, brilliant lad, also really desperate to be here.”

The Leeds boss believes that he has a great celling also: “He’s still an age where he can improve.

“Jaidon is still young, we want to improve and want to work with him but he has also lots of quality and lots of potential to work with him.”

Not wanting to live in the future, Farke wanted to focus on the here and now: “Right now the reality is Jaidon is in and we are all happy that we have him and it’s the same with all the other guys.

“I think Jaidon will definitely play also a pretty important role for us in the upcoming months.”

Everyone associated with both Leeds and Bournemouth will hope the winger has a positive season that is for certain.
