Dominic Solanke has signed a new four year deal with Bournemouth, keeping him at the club until 2027.

Solanke signed for the Cherries from Liverpool in 2019 and has gone on to make 179 appearances in the four year since.

The Englishman has had a positive effect and been a star for many years, helping Bournemouth to promotion and Premier League safety.

He has started this season well with two goals and an assist as Andoni Iraola started his tenure as manager at the Vitality.

Subject to strong interest from West Ham United this summer, he scored against them on the opening day.

Despite this interest and a large fee rumoured, the star man has signed a new deal.

What has Dominic Solanke said?

The impact of the new manager, is clearly having an effect on star players wanting to stick around for a prolonged period.

On that, Solanke said: “Since all the new people have come into the club, they’ve bought a great new ambition and that matches mine and all the players really.”

This introduction also reaches to players: “A lot of new players have come in and, they’re going to bring great quality to the team as well.”

With the sacking of Gary O’Neil and the subsequent hiring of Iraola, there are clear attempts from the club to improve.

Solanke has felt this change: “We’re all very ambitious and I’m really excited to see what’s going to happen in the next few seasons.”

Since joining in 2019, he has seen it all at the Vitality.

When discussing his time with the Cherries, he said: “I think since I came, it’s been such a great time.

“It’s a great club and definitely in the last few years, I think we’re going in a great direction, especially since the new owner’s come in, new coaching staff.”

A great day for Bournemouth fans and news that they have wanted to hear for months.
