Bournemouth and Wolverhampton Wanders are both interested in Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, with a £15 million bid tabled.

The Haitian midfielder plays for RC Strasbourg and has also been linked to other French clubs with OGC Nice interested.

He is a versatile player, but predominantly plays as a central midfielder but is also adept on the wings and as a number 10.

Last season he scored two and garnered nine assists across 31 games in Ligue 1.

It has been reported that Wolves have already tabled a bid, with the Cherries considering their options.

Should Bournemouth sign Jean-Ricner Bellegarde?

The Haiti international has already scored and assisted two goals so far this season.

He is a consistent player, who rarely misses games which is an asset in itself. Featuring in 139 matches across four years for Strasbourg.

He is a midfielder who drives his team forward, getting on the ball and running at defenders.

Alongside his dribbling, one of his key skills is playing short passes and breaking defensive lines with them.

These two skills are hard to come by, especially together, giving him a unique skillset.

Despite these positive aspects, is he needed at the Vitality?

In Andoni Iraola’s 4-2-3-1 formation, there may not be a need for Bellegarde, especially with the signings already made.

With Alex Scott, Tyler Adams and Hamed Traore joining the club this summer, the midfield is stacked with talent.

As well as the new men, Joe Rothwell and Philip Billing have made great impressions on the new manager so far and will be hard to dislodge.

Lewis Cook is also returning from injury, so the Cherries’ midfield competition is high.

In the future, Romain Faivre will be part of this conversation after his loan with Lorient ends.

Despite all the talent Bellegarde possesses, another midfielder for Iraola will cause headaches more than anything else.
